Expectations:  

  • Be Safe
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • No cell phones out during class
  • Be in your chair ready to work when the tone sounds.
  • Work missed during unexcused absences must be completed; however, credit may not be given.
  • If a student is absent the day of a test or quiz, they will take the test or quiz the day they return to school.
  • All assignments must be made up within two (2) school days for each day of an excused absence.
  • Ask for make-up work in advance for pre-excused absences such as field trips, sports, and vacations.

Grading Policy:  

Daily Assignments and NotesYou will be expected to take notes in class and complete all assignments given.  Show work on homework for full credit. 

Tests and Quizzes:   Tests and quizzes will be graded on work shown as well as a correct answer.

Semester Grade: The semester grade will be 85% from the quarter grades and 15% from the semester final.

Grading Scale:       

             A  90-100%
          B   80-89%
          C   70-79%
          D   60-69%

          F   Below 60%

No extra credit will be given with the exception of occasional bonus questions on tests.

 Academic Integrity Policy

I value academic integrity very highly and do not permit any form of dishonesty or deceptions that may unfairly or improperly enhance a students’ grade.

Some examples of cheating in my class:

  • Copying homework
  • Looking at another students test/quiz
  • Discussing quiz or test questions during or outside of class
  • Using calculator or notes when they are not allowed
  • Using a cell phone or other electronic device to gain/exchange information
  • Missing class in an attempt not to take a test or quiz

Consequences of cheating:

  • Score of zero on the assessment
  • Administration will be notified and follow up with any administrative consequences
  • If you are involved in an extra-curricular activity your advisor will be notified

Success in this class will depend on your:

  • Discipline
  • Perseverance
  • Commitment
  • Integrity
